Just two foodies, tryna catch lunch at a park!
Let’s munch on some thoughts together, shall we?

- Eastern Gray Squirrel nibbling on its favorite snack.
- Image pulled from a video (below) using Nikon that I had on me to photograph Tote Bags for travel.
I find squirrel’s energy very smart and playful just like the endless curiosity and fun we had as children.
If you’ve ever taken a stroll in nature, maybe your patio or backyard and observed them, you’ll probably know what I mean.
One pleasant Spring morning, I was enjoying my Zen time on a bench in an outdoor woodsy area when a squirrel caught my attention.
First, I watched this lil’ ball of energy for a while, frantically scamper around. Then, occasionally I noticed it peaking at me before resting to eat and watch me back with full focus ☺️
(Somewhere in the back of my mind, I heard, “I’m watching YOU watching me!” from hilarious movie, ‘Meet the Fockers’)
I could only assume it was eating it's favorite snack.
Those moments were equally amusing and profound. It struck me how similar we are to squirrels in life. We hustle & bustle gathering our own "acorns," which could be experiences or even those quirky lessons we learn along the way.
Sometimes we forget how we are also leaving seeds all around not realizing that with the good work of seeds, we planted mighty Oak trees, hundreds and thousands of them to create massive impact!
Here’s the kicker:
Who knows who might benefit from the seeds we scatter? Perhaps they could bloom into a beautiful loving, supportive relationship for life, have a kindness domino effect, or even an innovation to impact humanity.
My point is if your efforts are pure hearted, then, you never know what all beneficial things may sprout from it. You get the idea!
This squirrel was quite high up, so I was having a challenging time holding onto my heavy gear. As I was adjusting it, I realized how often I feel equally weighed down by my to-do lists. This made me think about the much-needed moments to pause every now and then to find inspiration in stillness. Amigos, we cannot undermine the importance of this for bringing a level of balance back in life.

Okay, let's dive back into more life lessons after the fact that my website plug has been embedded :)
You ever noticed how optimistic and resourceful these furry creatures are?
I remember their resourcefulness in NY when a group of them ended up in my attic during snowy Winters. Their little feet scurrying from one end of the attic to the other, gathering and storing food, would wake me up in the middle of the night —night after night —until I finally had to relocate them with the help of a wild life preservation expert, along with their stored food.
Briefly, it took me back to my childhood days when my grandmother shared stories about a spirit living in her attic —partially fascinated and partially afraid.
Funny thing is, those squirrels were trying to find dry spots (wooden beams above my head in the bedroom) to break open all types of nuts. Talk about hosting a 'Squirrel Fam Attic Potluck'. YES, can you imagine how loud it got at times? (More about team work below)
Have you ever seen a squirrel struggling to break open an acorn? You see, the fact is, they don’t just give up and walk away. Instead, they employ all their creativity—hopping, flipping, and trying different angles until they succeed. They are Relentless Optimists!
Lesson: Will & Determination pays off
When faced with a challenge, be inspired by our lil’ creatures. Just because something’s tough to crack doesn’t mean it’s impossible!
Here’s a mantra: “Nutting can stop me now” ;)
Next, Fantastic Teamwork. I’m sure you’ve seen a group of squirrels racing each other up trees or foraging together?
They seem to instinctively know that there’s strength in numbers which made me realize that the right collaboration leads to success. Folks, don’t hesitate to lean on your solid support or team.
Just an FYI, I'd like to take a moment to appreciate 200 species of squirrels living all over our world. Wow, lotsa team work, right? But, just as a friendly reminder, I'd really prefer not to host any wild life potluck dinners in the middle of the night ☺️
Here’s the final scoop:
Let's talk Vantage Points
As I sat there observing this cute animal, I thought, "Wow, what a higher perspective it has!" Imagine, If we, as humans could adopt a similar perspective in life when feeling, ‘stuck’ due to our tunnel vision, energetic influences from past experiences or non-beneficial coding inherited from ancestors.
This invited me to think like a majestic Eagle soaring over the mountains, able to see the entire valley below (aka wider perspective on life). Such heights allow the Eagle to see everything, and if we could also pull our focus back, we would be able to discover all the hidden trails. The truths that seem concealed from ground level would suddenly become vivid from a zoomed-out perspective.
I assure you, when you adopt this outlook, you’ll start to spot the wonders of life as if, the veils thinned, revealing the larger landscape of your life 🦅
- From my beloved, unforgettable trips to Alaska - A gift with most profound memories.
- I gained a deeper understanding of life's true essence in this Winter Wonderland at its finest.
- These were not just physical journeys but emotional and spiritual ones.
- The heart of my experiences was in Fairbanks and surrounding regions as seen in video above.
So, here is a little heart-to-heart, my dear: Please, take a moment to reflect on your own vantage point. It may be the only internal shift needed to visualize a limitless life ✨
When you find that silver lining, claim it! Why? Because recognizing and embracing the love and light in your life is transformative.
After all, you are totally rad and so deserving of the view that aligns with your higher self!
Time to almost wrap this up. By sharing my “acorns” of knowledge, I hope it brought wisdom and smiles to your heart.
Will you take a minute to reflect on these questions below and connect with me via comments section or on any social media platform through which you accessed this Blog?

I’d love to hear your thoughts or even a squirrel joke. Our world can always use more of those 🙌
